HIGHLIGHTS
Once upon a time, a Puhal (shepherd) of village Rainh, along with his two companion and cattles moved towards high mountains. After two to three month when their fooding materials got finished, then they returned home to take fooding materials and he had to look after about 200-300 cattles himself alone. He along with them went to a place namely Hanskund. In the absence of fooding materials, he had to remain hungry. When hunger became untollerable then he thought to cut a goat and satisfy his hunger with it’s flesh and finally he cut a goat. No sooner did this cut, a Devta appeared there in the form of hermit and asked ‘Puhal’ that on this day of ‘Ekadashi’ of Devshayni (Shrawan month) on this holy place he will not let this evil task happened. He put the head of Goat on Goat’s another part of body and made it live and asked ‘Puhal’ to have fasting.
