HIGHLIGHTS

The devta is named as Dakshini Mahadev i.e. Mahadev from the South, because it is told that it was brought from Kanchipuram in southern India. Its temple also is situated in the southern side of Nirmand village, named Dhanaka, the locality of the Brahmins of Bharadwaj clan, whose forefathers brought the devta. The devta has five mohras.
